Job Overview

A super-speciality hospital in Thoothukudi is looking for a DM/DNB Gastroenterologist for its medical gastroenterology unit. The candidate will manage GI and liver diseases and perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage acute and chronic GI diseases including IBD, peptic ulcers, GERD, and GI bleeds.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and ERCP.
• Handle liver diseases: hepatitis, cirrhosis, portal hypertension, SBP, HE.
• Perform liver biopsy, paracentesis, and feeding tube insertions.
• Coordinate with surgical and radiology teams for complex cases.
• Conduct outpatient GI clinics and hepatology follow-ups.
• Teach and train residents in GI procedures.
• Participate in research and publish case reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• DM / DNB Gastroenterology.
• MD Medicine with GI fellowship considered.
• Valid NMC registration.
