Job Overview

A super-speciality hospital in Coimbatore is seeking a DM/DNB Pulmonologist to manage the Respiratory Medicine department, perform bronchoscopy, and treat complex lung diseases.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pleural effusion, and lung cancers.
• Perform fibre-optic bronchoscopy, BAL, transbronchial biopsy, and EBUS.
• Manage critical pulmonary conditions: ARDS, status asthmaticus, pulmonary embolism.
• Conduct and interpret PFTs (spirometry), arterial blood gas analysis, and polysomnography.
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and wean from mechanical ventilation.
• Run respiratory medicine outpatient clinics and TB/interstitial lung disease follow-ups.
• Collaborate with thoracic surgery for lung cancer and pleural interventions.
• Publish and present pulmonology research.

Qualifications & Experience

• DM / DNB Pulmonary Medicine / Respiratory Medicine.
• MD Internal Medicine with fellowship in Respiratory Medicine.
• Valid NMC registration.
