Neonatology Consultant Jobs in Coimbatore

Job Overview

A maternity and children's hospital in Coimbatore is looking for a Neonatologist to lead the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), manage sick newborns, and provide high-quality neonatal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage NICU patients: preterm infants, low birth-weight babies, respiratory distress syndrome.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation, intubation, surfactant therapy, and umbilical line placements.
• Supervise phototherapy, exchange transfusion, and total parenteral nutrition.
• Diagnose and manage congenital anomalies, neonatal infections, and hyperbilirubinemia.
• Coordinate with paediatric surgeons for surgical neonates.
• Counsel parents on neonatal care and discharge planning.
• Maintain NICU protocols and quality improvement records.
• Train paediatric residents and nursing staff in neonatal care.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD Paediatrics with FNB Neonatology or Fellowship in Neonatology.
• DNB Neonatology.
• Valid NMC registration.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
