Job Overview

A hospital in Rourkela is looking for an experienced Laparoscopic Surgeon to perform minimally invasive surgeries including cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendectomy, and advanced laparoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and hernia repair.
• Conduct advanced laparoscopic procedures: colectomy, splenectomy, Nissen fundoplication.
• Manage bariatric surgical procedures where applicable.
• Handle emergency laparoscopic surgeries for perforations and intestinal obstruction.
• Supervise pre and post-operative surgical ward care.
• Run outpatient surgical consultation clinics.
• Train junior surgeons and residents in laparoscopic techniques.
• Maintain surgical audit and quality records.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MS / DNB General Surgery.
• Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery preferred.
• Valid NMC registration.
