Emergency Medicine Consultant Jobs in Karad

Job Overview

A tertiary care hospital in Karad is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide immediate, evidence-based care to patients with acute illnesses, trauma, and life-threatening conditions in the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage all patients arriving at the Emergency Department using standard triage protocols.
• Perform clinical assessment, order relevant investigations, and initiate treatment.
• Manage cardiac emergencies: CPR, defibrillation, STEMI protocol, cardiac arrest.
• Handle respiratory emergencies, stroke, sepsis, polytrauma, and poisoning.
• Perform emergency procedures: intubation, chest tube, CVP insertion, pericardiocentesis.
• Decide on admission, ICU transfer, operation theatre, or safe discharge.
• Coordinate with specialists for smooth handover of emergency cases.
• Maintain detailed emergency records and comply with medico-legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MD/DNB Emergency Medicine, MEM, or Fellowship in Emergency Medicine.
• MD General Medicine / Anaesthesiology with emergency experience considered.
• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications preferred.
