Job Overview

A hospital in Jabalpur is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to run the psychiatry OPD and inpatient unit, provide counselling services, and manage mental health cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders: schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, OCD, addiction.
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and mental status examinations.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Provide psychotherapy, CBT, and counselling services.
• Manage psychiatric emergencies: acute psychosis, suicidal ideation, delirium tremens.
• Liaise with neurology for organic brain conditions.
• Run de-addiction clinics and substance abuse management programmes.
• Coordinate with psychologists and social workers for holistic mental health care.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MD / DNB Psychiatry or DPM.
• Valid NMC registration.
• Psychotherapy training preferred.
