Job Overview

A hospital in Jabalpur is seeking a qualified Ophthalmologist to manage the eye department, perform cataract surgeries and other ocular procedures, and run eye outpatient clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cataract surgeries including phacoemulsification and SICS.
• Manage glaucoma, retinal diseases, corneal disorders, and uveitis.
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including slit-lamp, fundoscopy, and OCT.
• Perform refractive surgery: LASIK, PRK, and contact lens evaluation.
• Manage squint, paediatric ophthalmology, and low vision cases.
• Handle ophthalmic emergencies: acute angle closure, retinal detachment, ocular trauma.
• Prescribe optical corrections and coordinate with optometrists.
• Train junior residents and nursing staff in eye care.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MS / DNB Ophthalmology.
• Valid NMC registration.
• Fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery, glaucoma, or cornea preferred.
