Job Overview
This Plastic Surgeon consultant job in Palakkad offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped hospital theatre complex with good anaesthesia and ICU backup.
The hospital is looking for a Plastic Surgeon who can independently handle reconstructive, trauma and basic cosmetic plastic surgery while contributing to overall surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage OPD, IPD and emergency Plastic Surgery cases including trauma, burns and soft tissue reconstruction.
- Perform reconstructive surgeries in collaboration with Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Neurosurgery and other specialties.
- Undertake basic cosmetic procedures as per hospital protocols and patient demand.
- Provide preoperative counselling and postoperative follow-up for Plastic Surgery patients.
- Ensure accurate operative notes, consent documentation and discharge summaries.
- Participate in clinical audits, CMEs and on-call duties as part of the surgical team.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- MCh / DNB in Plastic Surgery from a recognised institution.
- Valid registration with State Medical Council / National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Freshers and experienced Plastic Surgeons up to 22 years post-qualification can apply.
- Sound operative skills in reconstructive plastic surgery; exposure to cosmetic surgery will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills, team orientation and patient-focused approach; Malayalam-speaking candidates preferred.

- Monthly salary in the range of ₹2,00,000 – ₹3,00,000; higher package negotiable for strong profiles.
