Job Overview

A medical college and hospital in Bengaluru is seeking a Pathologist for its Department of Pathology, to perform histopathology, cytology, and haematology investigations and teach medical students.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and report histopathological examination of biopsy and surgical specimens.
• Conduct FNAC, PAP smear, body fluid cytology, and sputum cytology.
• Supervise haematology, clinical biochemistry, and blood bank sections.
• Report bone marrow biopsies, liver biopsies, and renal biopsies.
• Teach pathology to MBBS and postgraduate students.
• Participate in clinico-pathological conferences and tumour boards.
• Ensure lab quality management: CAP/NABL standards.
• Guide residents and junior staff in diagnostic pathology.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MD Pathology.
• Valid NMC registration.
• NABL quality training preferred.
