Job Overview

A hospital in Dhamtari requires a qualified General Surgeon to perform elective and emergency surgeries, manage the surgical ward, and run outpatient surgical consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform elective surgeries: laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendectomy, thyroid surgeries.
• Handle emergency surgeries: perforated peritonitis, intestinal obstruction, trauma surgery.
• Conduct upper GI, colorectal, and breast surgical procedures.
• Manage surgical ward including pre and post-operative care.
• Run outpatient surgical clinics and follow-up reviews.
• Perform endoscopy and colonoscopy as appropriate.
• Supervise junior surgical residents and train in theatre.
• Participate in mortality-morbidity meetings and surgical audits.

Qualifications & Experience

• MBBS with MS / DNB General Surgery.
• Valid NMC registration.
• Laparoscopic surgery training preferred.
